Sam Sebastian
Director, B2B and Local Markets
Google, Inc.

Sam Sebastian is responsible for leading Google's B2B and Local Markets direct sales organizations. Sam's B2B Markets team is responsible for helping B2B manufacturers, distributors, service providers and publishers connect with their target audience to generate leads, drive sales and build brands. His Local Markets team helps locally-driven marketers, such as classifieds, directories and franchise companies, utilize Google's ad platform to realize greater efficiencies and returns from local advertising. To date, Google has enjoyed productive relationships with leading brands in the local and B2B marketing space – Sam is responsible for growing those relationships and continuing to support growth and progress in the industry.

Sam joined Google from Classified Ventures, an online joint venture of major U.S. newspaper companies, where he held General Manager and SVP roles in Sales and Marketing. Prior to Classified Ventures, he was a consultant with Arthur Andersen in Chicago. Sam earned a BA in Accounting from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

 
Philip Kramer
Director, Technology
Google, Inc.

Phil leads Google's media sales, marketing, strategy and operations in the technology and communications industries. Phil has 20 years of media sales and marketing experience in senior leadership positions at The Wall Street Journal, CNET, AOL and Ziff Davis, which gives him a keen understanding of the marketing dynamics and needs of consumer and B2B tech marketers. He also joins Google with significant international experience, having worked in London for 4 years as Sales Director for AOL Time Warner UK and as Advertising Director for The Wall Street Journal Europe.

Phil grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and is based in Google's New York City office. He's an avid cyclist and adventure traveler.

 

Penry Price
VP, Advertising Sales, North America
Google, Inc.

Penry Price oversees the day-to-day operations of Google's Media Sales and Account Management teams throughout North America. Using his previous experience in consumer print advertising, Penry helps develop and manage Google's relationships with traditional advertisers, industry contacts, and advertising agencies.

Prior to joining Google in the spring of 2004, Penry was the Advertising Director at Us Weekly magazine, where he managed advertising operations and the publication's national sales staff. Before working at Us Weekly, Penry held various advertising sales positions at Rolling Stone, including Eastern Advertising Director. Penry began his career in advertising in the consumer electronics group of Hachette Filipacchi Magazines.

Penry is a member of the Board of Advisors of Outward Bound USA, the Board of the Boston Ad Club, as well as the ad:tech North American Board of Advisors, dedicated to connecting all sides of today's brand marketing landscape. Penry holds a bachelor of arts from Hobart College.

 
David Fischer
Vice President, Global Online Sales & Operations
Google, Inc.

David Fischer is responsible for Google's online sales channel, which represents the majority of the company's customers worldwide. David has provided leadership for the online sales and operations program since its inception in early 2002 and has helped build Google’s online advertising network into the largest in the world. He also runs the online sales channel of the AdSense publisher program, which enables website owners worldwide to earn revenue through partnerships with Google.

David manages operations for Google’s consumer products worldwide and runs Google’s Book Search scanning operations, working with libraries and publishers around the world to digitally scan books from their collections. In addition, he leads the Google Grants program, which has donated more than $280 million advertising dollars to nonprofits. David has opened many offices for Google, including its sales centers in Hyderabad and Gurgaon, India as well as Ann Arbor, Michigan and Boston, Massachusetts.

David previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.S. Treasury Department, where he served as an advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury and worked on a variety of economic policy issues within the federal government. Prior to that, David was an associate editor at U.S. News & World Report, covering economics and business from Washington, DC. In the early 1990s, he served as a consultant to the Russian government on the implementation of its privatization program.

David earned a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Stanford University.

 
David Bell

David Bell has over 40 years of experience in the marketing communications sector. He is Chairman Emeritus and previously served as Chairman and CEO of The Interpublic Group, Inc., one of the world’s largest marketing communications service companies. Mr. Bell previously held the positions of Chairman and CEO of True North Communications Inc., the world’s sixth largest global advertising and marketing communications holding company. Mr. Bell was also President and CEO of Bozell Worldwide, where he helped grow the agency from $12 million to over $500 million in revenues; and prior to that was President of Knox Reeves Advertising, which was acquired by Bozell.

In his career, he has served virtually every kind of industry, from automotive to financial services; consumer packaged goods as well as business-to-business.

Mr. Bell serves the industry as Past Chairman of The Advertising Council, The American Advertising Federation, The Advertising Educational Foundation and The American Association of Advertising Agencies.

Mr. Bell was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame by his peers in March 2007.

Mr. Bell is an independent Director of Warnaco, Primedia and Point Blank Solutions, and serves as an Advisor to Google.

 
Avinash Kaushik

Bill Barnes

Enquiro has performed cutting edge eye-tracking research on many of the world's largest and most successful companies and has created, implemented and measured extensive search marketing campaigns.

Mr. Barnes is a Marketing veteran who has been in the marketing, advertising and promotion industry for over 25 years, the last 10 of which have been focused on Search Marketing. He co-founded Enquiro along with Gord Hotchkiss in 1999. Bill has been a speaker at events presented by Search Engine Strategies, Ad-Tech, Jupiter Media, SIPA, Forrester Research, Frost and Sullivan and Enterprise Search Summit. He has also conducted workshops designed for individual companies and is host of the B2B Expert Series webinars.

Bill has extensive experience in setting up and implementing Search Marketing campaigns and Research initiatives for many fortune 500 and B2B companies.

 
Lou Celi

Lou joined the Economist Intelligence Unit in 1986 when it merged with Business International, where he served as a SVP of the Global Financial Services Division. Lou managed the Economist Intelligence Unit's Americas region until 1992, when he was appointed by Economist Group CEO, Marjorie Scardino, to Managing Director of a newly formed electronic publishing division, EIU Electronic.

While in charge of EIU Electronic, Lou was responsible for developing the firm's global electronic business and setting up worldwide sales, marketing, product development and technology. Together with the editorial and technology teams, he created a number of the EIU's successful electronic services, including EIU.com, ViewsWire, Country Data and Executive Briefing (with Harvard Business Publishing).

From 1997 to 2000, Lou has served as the Chairman of The Economist Group Electronic Publishing Committee. In addition to the Economist Intelligence Unit, the committee included heads of economist.com, CFO.com and RollCall.com. With a Masters of Arts from City College, Lou is a frequent speaker and has co-authored several books, including Global Cash Management, Automating the Finance Function and Competing in the Digital Age. Lou previously served on the White House's business advisory committee for Latin America during the Reagan administration and worked with former Secretary of Agriculture, Orville Freeman and Barack Obama while at Business International.

 
Miles David

Miles David Associates

Miles David is the founder and owner of Miles David Associates, a consultancy that serves co-op agencies, manufacturers with co-op advertising programs and other marketing organizations. Prior to opening his own consultancy, Miles was also Vice Chairman of Pinpoint Marketing (a co-op ad specialty agency), CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau, Associate Editor of McGraw-Hill’s Popular Science magazine and a journalist with U.S. Army publication Stars & Stripes.

Following his work with Stars & Stripes, he served with the U.S. Army as a combat engineer during the last few battles of World War II in Europe. He believes he may be one of the few WW II combat veterans still very active in the advertising/marketing industry.

 
Ryan DeShazer
Director of Interactive Strategy, HSR Business to Business

Ryan is a seasoned digital marketing professional, having served entrepreneurial stints at pay-per-click (PPC) marketing firm Clix Marketing and again as co-owner of interactive boutique NOEINK. His current responsibilities at HSR include leading the Interactive Account Service team and driving the firm's digital marketing capabilities and Web innovation.

Ryan has an extensive background in the field of search engine marketing (SEM) and Web analytics, and was most recently HSR's Director of Search. He holds industry certifications for paid search marketing by both Google and Yahoo! and is recognized as a ClickTracks Analytics Certified Professional. His knowledge of organic search optimization was ranked among the highest SEO professionals in the US by TopSEOs while building NOEINK.

Ryan earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the University of Louisville.
